Well after almost 10 years of ploughing a determinedly DIY furrow Brighton popsters Shrag have called it a day depriving the UK of one of the finest bands of their generation. I hope those of you out there who have refused to succumb to their indie pop charms are proud of yourself. That this brilliant band have failed to have countless top 10 hits makes me ashamed to be British. But this is not the time to be bitter it's a time to celebrate the fact they existed and leave an indie legacy that those of us with taste can continue to enjoy.
If you want one last chance to catch them before they disappear into the ether their last hurrah will be at the Lexington on March 15th.
Goodbye guys it's been a hell of ride.
